Olivia Burke is a New York based Photographer. Her work celebrates human expression and explores the nexus between designed and natural landscapes. She is a storyteller - whether creating a professional headshot, documenting the development of a young child, or interpreting the landscape of an urban culture.
While completing a photography residency at the School of Visual Arts, Olivia developed a photographic study of The Highline – called “Urban Oasis.” The photographs in this collection capture the juxtaposition between nature and design. By embracing the contrast of textures and materials, the project opens a dialogue between realism and abstraction. Influenced by her experiences in the field of architecture, Olivia sees stillness in movement in a series of stark black and white images.
Olivia works as a Recruitment Manager and Photographer at The Mill, a leading visual effects company.
